Let me start this by saying if at any time you read a message that compels you to a response, by all means... feel free to continue the learning. You DO NOT have to leave your real name or any name for that matter. When you click "post a comment" or however it reads, you have 3 options. Once on the actual comments page, you'll see prior replies as well. Then there's the 'leave a comment' field. Under that are CAPTCHA and 'choose an identity' (name) options. CAPTCHA is designed to slam SPAM as well as let me know a human is posting vs. a computer generated response. Again, I do not consume beef nor pork so SPAM is not welcomed. Even a photograph of it bothers me. Ok, not really but you get my point and hence you will see the moderation message when you've finalized your post. The identity/name options are as follows:

1) Log-in using (drop down menu for those registered with those services)

2) Nickname and URL - allows you to choose any name and/or link your site to it

3) Anonymous (you can use it but I still have the right to decide if it gets published publicly or not - GOOD FOR ME - YAY!!)

LUENELL ON KATT WILLIAMS' ALLEGED BREAKDOWN: 'Borat' star toured with comic; says he may just need some rest.

*Comedian Luenell says news of fellow standup comic Katt Williams having a reported nervous breakdown is an all-too-familiar story among black, male comedic superstars.

The "Borat" actress cites Martin Lawrence, Richard Pryor and Dave Chappelle among famous funnymen who have suffered some sort of personal meltdown. "It seems to happen to the great minds that just sometimes may be on overload," she says.

In Williams' case, Luenell believes simple fatigue may have contributed to his reported erratic behavior.

"I know that he has a lot of people depending on him. That could be stressful," Luenell told EUR's Lee Bailey. "I know that we went on the road in 2006, and it's [now] 2008, about to be 2009, and he has barely had any relaxation, down time or time off between doing [standup] comedy, movies, television and an album. It might just be that [his camp] needs to sit him down and get [him] some rest."

A South Carolina newspaper reported last week that Williams reluctantly underwent a mental evaluation at the request of his family.

"I have not seen any strange behavior in the last few times that I saw Katt," Luenell added. "He seemed totally himself, and I dare say a little bit more relaxed and at peace than maybe toward the end of the year when he was working so much. So this, if it's true even, comes as a total surprise for me."

Luenell also said the rumor of Williams retiring following a New Year's Eve show in Detroit with Steve Harvey is just as surprising.

"That may be his last show for a while, but I don't think that he would let his fans go without any more original Katt Williams," she said. "I mean how many times has Jay-Z retired only to come back with a bigger, better, blacker and stronger album?"

    Hey Di,
    I've read about this, too. Luenell is absolutely right, I think is gonna come back later on in his life. At least, that's what I hope.
    Katt works really hard, he didn't get to where he's at just by magic, it didn't just happen...he has worked really hard. He's probably just really tired...and I think it was about time for him to rest. I don't know what the big fuss is about...I hate how the media is handling this whole situation...I think he deserves a little bit of respect...and his fans have given it to him, it's time for the media to do the same.
